1.Sales and Promotion:
•Meets with customers and visits job sites to coordinate jobs, promote, and sell products, and identify and fulfill customer needs.
•Identifies and pursues leads on potential customers, new sales opportunities, and new products.
•Develops action plans to generate sales with established customers.
•Builds rapport and establishes relationships with customers by becoming a trusted, valued business partner.
•Advises customers of appropriate products for a given need based on technical knowledge of products. Recommends similar, companion or substitute items.
•Matches services with customer needs by demonstrating knowledge of customers, pricing, and competition.
•Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, marketing features and benefits.
•Closes sale by overcoming objections and prepares invoices for orders obtained.
•Develops proactive vendor relationships and communicates with vendors to facilitate sales by pursuing leads and opportunities.
2.Quotes and Pricing:
•Works with Inside Sales team to develop bids and provides customers with price quotes for jobs within Company guidelines and procedures.
•Negotiates prices and services with customers with the Company’s best interests in mind and obtains management approval for pricing or services outside of Company guidelines.
• Follows up on jobs to determine status and competitive position. Prepares submittals as needed.
3.Customer Service and Support:
•Coordinates customers’ jobs with inside sales team to order and release products in phases. Estimates time of delivery to customer and assures prompt arrival of job order products, including scheduling direct shipments as appropriate.
•Listens to, investigates, and resolves customer complaints about product, price, or service. Makes highly independent decisions to resolve customer complaints, problems, and warranty issues, and depending on the customer, communicates resolution to supervisor and regional sales manager.
•At the direction of management, meets with customers to request and receive payments when account is past due.
•Maintains current working knowledge on existing and new products/services and other general information to ensure accurate information is provided.
